I have been listening to this album throughout the week and I am kinda digging it. I stumbled upon it on the Sonic Unyon website, clicked on this video and saw a discussion about the "Weed King" part of the title coming from the GBV song.

When I went to listen to it today I typed it into my iTunes and that album came up, as did an Acid Ranch song of the same name, which is another Pollard project. Weird.

Id like to think they named themselves after one of the more obscure Pollard projects, but I find it hard to believe.

New Van Halen out Today

I just got back from my beloved Encore Records and picked up the new Van Halen disc. I decided to not let the sour taste of Tattoo Tattoo ruin the album for me, so I avoided the pre download, and did the old Tuesday first listen. Right off the bat I dig the artwork, and I dig the EVH riffage. Its painfully hard not to love his guitar. But we will see over time how this stacks up to the other Halen records.

An original Chainsaw Production is back, in Vimeo form. This classic from circa 2003 is back. This video has been living on YouTube for a couple of years, but I just now managed to rip it from a newly found Demo DVD from a couple years back. I "cleaned" it up a bit and uploaded it in all its faux Panavision glory, on Vimeo.

This movie was made over the entire summer, but was actually filmed over 2 days, months apart. The entire budet was 11 bucks, for the choloate syrup, and a pair of dress pants from Value Village.

It stars Krazy Karl and Jeremy Vernelli.

There seems to be a killer show brewing at Sneaky Dees tonight. Pissed Jeans who I really would love to see, and opening is Anagram. I am pretty sure Ned asked me to go to Oshawa once to see this band play the opening of a new bar, but that fell through or some shit. Either way, as badly as I want to see these bands, I am still not sure its worth the drive to Toronto. There are few things worse than driving to Toronto on a Friday night. I would rather get analy raped by an octopus, than deal with the insane Friday traffic. We will see though...

D Dawg sent me 4 discs in the mail for my modded Xbox. I now have pretty much every game from every system. From Atari to Super Nintendo. On top of that I not have every hand held game, and every Arcade game. This is so awesome. I am now trying to get N64 going so I can pull all nighters again playing Goldeneye. THANKS D DAWG!

This will come in handy when I go buy movies, cuz lord knows I already have an insane amount of doubles. There is a PROWLER on the loose in my neighbourhood. I cant stop laughing at the word "Prowler." Time for a new silk screen project maybe? New t shirts? "I AM THE CHICOPEE PROWLER" perhaps?

Police want east Kitchener residents on alert |CTV Southwestern Ontario

Waterloo Region police are asking residents in an east Kitchener neigbourhood to be on alert after a number of people reported seeing a prowler in the area.

The suspect was most recently spotted on Upper Mercer Street, and police say the sightings date back to November of last year.

Waterloo Regional Police spokesperson Olaf Heinzel says "We had several incidents that occurred in the dark, but we've also had several incidents during the daylight hours. It is possible the individual may be living in the area or has reason to be in that area."

Police are hoping a black Triumph mountain bike left behind at one of the scenes may provide some leads.

So far there have been four reported sightings of the prowler, the most recent just before 8 p.m. on Wednesday night.

Area resident Larry Smuck says "Well first of all, my neighbour came and knocked on my door and told me about it, and then I looked out here and there were about five cruisers and the van and all of a sudden another came with the dog."

People in the neighbourhood say they are unnerved, and will be keeping their eyes peeled.

Laura Iutzi also lives in the area and she says "I don't want to have people over and all of a sudden somebody's going to be peeking in my window."

Police say the prowler's motivations are unclear and they are asking anyone with information about the bicycle found or the suspect to contact them.

Work Trip!

Got to go to another work trip, this time to Toronto where we set up shop on the 21st floor of a hotel overlooking City Hall. Fun times...minus the broken AC. It felt like lunch time on Sunday at my folks house. A constant, ball dripping, 24 degrees. The midnight walk through the rain to the pub made me feel like a million bucks though, as did hearing Malkmus at the bar.
